FAQs

Why should I use The Utah Nanny Agency instead of finding a job on my own?

When you’re looking for a job on your own, you never know what you’re going to get. We have pre-screened our families and educated them on nanny responsibilities, nanny taxes, compensation, and benefits. We also give you and your nanny family a contract to use so everyone is on the same page!

What is "professional" childcare experience?

Professional childcare experience is verifiable experience outside of your own home or family.

How long will it take to match me to a family?

The length of time can vary depending on your experience, your stipulations, and the current job market! Feel free to submit an application so we can give you a more personalized answer!

Will you accept candidates who don't meet the criteria?

Unfortunately, no. Once you meet the criteria, we would be happy to set up an interview with you!

W-2 or I-9?

The IRS classifies nannies as W-2 employees. We highly encourage all families, with our agency, to pay nannies legally. We are partnered with GTM payroll services to make things easier for families and nannies!

Will The Utah Nanny Agency ever take a cut of my pay?

No! We are paid a placement fee when families hire a nanny, and the nannies never have to pay anything.

Who is responsible for paying the nannies?

The families are responsible for the nanny’s pay. The Utah Nanny Agency does not employ nannies.

Do I have to take the nanny training?

Yes! We want to know that all of our nannies have the same foundation of knowledge and professionalism.
