How long is the placement process?
Every positon is different! Some matches happen quickly and some take a little bit longer. As an average, it will take about 4 weeks!

Why use an agency instead of doing it myself?
Your life is busy! Finding someone who is qualified, trustworthy, professional, fits your needs, and your family dynamic takes a lot of time and effort! Our screening process allows us to eliminate candidates who don’t fit our standards. We send you three pre-screened candidates to choose from, which is less overwhelming than sifting through 20+ applications yourself.
Do we have to pay taxes for nannies and household staff?
Yes! We are partnered with GTM payroll services to make taxes simple and stress free!
Why do I have to offer a W2 instead of an I9?
Legally, nannies and household staff are required to be given a W2. Visit our nanny taxes page for more information!
Does the UNA pay the nanny and/or staff?
No, The Utah Nanny Agency is a referral agency only. Families are responsible for paying their employee properly.
What happens if I am not satisfied with my placement?
We understand that it doesn’t always work out. We offer a free replacement before 30 days. After that we will take it on a case by case basis so that we can protect our nannies!
Do I have to offer benefits?
While benefits aren’t necessarily required, they do attract higher quality and long term candidates.
What are your fees?
There is a $500 application fee to get started on the search. A placement fee is due at hire:
Nanny – 12% of employee’s projected yearly compensation. Rates are $15-30+/hour.
Other Staff/Newborn Care Specialist – 15% of employee’s yearly compensation or contract.
