A nanny is a consistent caregiver who is an extension of the parents. They help maintain the children’s schedule, care for the children’s needs, and provide enriching activities appropriate to the children’s development.
A babysitter is an occasional caregiver who cares for children, keeps them safe, and entertained during the parents absence.
